Lucky us to get out and miss the rains. Thanks to Steph for arranging a shotgut so we all finished in plenty of time. Those poor saps at EAA in Oshkosh must have been hating it. The course was right on the northend of the storm, so we got away with no more than a few drops.
Congrats to Troy Evers for the Longest Putt on #1, Gary Ruhle for the closest to the misplaced tree on #3, and Nate Dosch for the closest to the pin on #8. Nice sub-par 35 round by Brian Long who took the Low Gross! Gary Ruhle took the Low Net for his net 29.
Happy Birthday to Paul Roth and thanks for the pitchers of brew for each group! It was his night tonight with his putter, making three 10+ footers and two 20+ footers. Tim Woods' putter was wobbling more than a Brent Farve bobble head doll, so it had to be sacrificed on #4. He putted with his driver on #5 and saved a par, then retooled to his 4 iron for the rest of the round. By #9, he was either draining long putts or nuzzling it close to the cup.
Make sure to check the Schedule to see your teetime for 8/3 and 8/10. For 8/3, we're playing the makeup round from 6/8 and on 8/10 we're playing the same teams we played the 1st week of the season.
We'll play "Position Night" on 8/17, so after the 8/10 rounds, we'll determine the matches. 8/17 is the final night for points!
Important: Let Andy know if you are not going to be able to make it to the scramble and/or banquet on 8/24. The teams will be made up of an A/B/C/D on each team, so he needs to arrange the subs. It'll be: A - Low to High, B - High to Low, C - Low to High, D - High to Low, which are sorted by Index. As of right now, I have only Ken Barr as out.
