Congrats to Mike Woods for the longest putt on #5 and Andy Wittig for the closest to the pin on #9. He landed it to about 3 feet and made the birdie putt.
Nice even par rounds by Brian Long and Joe Viotto Jr. Unfortunately they cancel each other out for low gross, so no payouts there. Low net goes to Mike Milhaupt for his Net 30.
We almost had a double-eagle tonight. Troy Evers almost dropped it in on the par 5 #2 from 260 out with his 5 wood. Griffen and the others swore it was in, but when they got up there, they found it was about 1 foot from the cup. Nice job Troy; we all agree that since this is less common than a hole in one, this would have entitled you to buy a round of drinks. It still gets you in the 2009 Eagles Nest though!
Question of the Day #1: What's this position night you're talking about? Does it involve Beansnappers? Answer: Unfortunately for us, no. It's just a way to schedule the matches for the final night to make it more meaningful and fun for the run for placing. 1st Place will play 2nd Place, 3rd will play 4th, 5th with 6th, etc. Check the Schedule for your tee-time.
Thanks for the feedback on who's in and who's out for the Scramble/Banquet. Barr and Nissen are out. Everyone else is committed. If something changes for you, let me know by next week. I will arrange subs so I can get the A/B/C/D right on the teams. It's really important to your scramble team that you show, otherwise they'll be playing as a 3some, and they'll be screwed. I'm working with Chaska to arrange a shotgun or partial shotgun so we can finish around the same time. I'll let you know if it'll work into their teesheets.
