Congrats to Brian Long for the long drive on #1, Brett Roth for the closest to the Pin on #8, and Nate Dosch for the closest to the Pin on #9. You'll notice an extra proxy this week, and the next 9 weeks as well. This extra proxy will be on the last par 3 of the nine with a prize of a $5 gift card that can be used towards golf at Chaska. Congrats to Brian Long for his low gross 37 and Bret Schaefer for his low net 28.

Our captain of the BTWB's Ryder Cup team, Rick Natrop is putting together the details for the 4th annual Ryder Cup competition against The Sod Busters. More details to follow, but here's a high level look at what it's all about. It is a ton of fun so please put it on your schedule in ink if this is something that interests you:
- It's an honor to make the cut. The cut is based on the index rankings, so the lowest handicaps make the cut for the team to represent our BTWB's.
- It's scheduled for September 12th, 2009 with a morning start time between 8-10
- We'll try to get it set for Wander Springs. Since we won the travelling trophy, we get to choose our home course.
- It's 27 holes of golf with 3 formats. Probably: 2 Man Scramble, 2 Man Best Ball, Individual Matches.
- How Handicaps and Tees play into it will be determined at a later date.
- Based on the interest, the top bananas of each league will be invited to play in the matches. Generally it's about 12 guys on each team. More can play as back-burners (not in the matches, but still play that day) and be on the waiting list.
- Based on who's in the cut, Rick will make up match partners and then he and Paul DeLange (Sod Busters Captain) will put up teams for the matches. Quite a bit of strategy is worked into this.
