Tonight finalizes our 2011 BTWB's season. We ended our season with a 4 man scramble event. Congrats to Team Griffen for winning the event with 7 under. Nice Eagle made by Team Evers on #10. Dan Muenchow chipped it in from 110 yards out! We could hear the hoot on #15.

We had our banquet in the basement of Chaska and enjoyed a BBQ. The menu was: Ribs (St. Louis cut), pulled pork sandwiches, homemade baked beans, homemade pickled beans/pickles, coleslaw, pickles, and chips. For dessert, we had homemade Guiness-mocha ice cream and chocolate chocolate-chip-mint ice cream and homemade cupcakes. Thanks for Brian Long and Andy Wittig for doing the meat, Brett Roth for doing the icecream, Joe Mattson for the beans/pickles, and Kristin for the 'special' cupcakes.

Here's how the whole field did in the scramble:

   -7 Jim Griffen(4) / Steve Werner(7) / Joe Mattson(9) / Mike Sowinski(12)
   -6 Joe Viotto Jr.(3) / Dan Nadolney(7) / Phil Beaver(7) / Paul Roth(14)
   -5 Brett Roth(5) / Joe Viotto(5) / Andy Wittig(11) / Gary Ruhle(12)
   -4 Brian Long(3) / Mike Milhaupt(7) / Dave Heinritz(7) / Rod Becker(18)
   -4 Troy Evers(4) / Joe Sargent(6) / Dan Muenchow(9) / Mike Woods(12)
Thank you all for your commitment and participation in our league this year. Of the 432 rounds on the schedule, we had only two no-shows. In every other case subs were arranged and the matches were played. The following players golfed every week, so thanks for showing up the entire season.

We have great news to report from this past weekend's inter-league mini Ryder Cup organized by Chaska. Troy Evers / Ken Barr edged out the other teams by shooting 2 under in the event. The 1st 3 holes were a scramble format, the next 3 were alternate shot, and the last 3 were best ball . Ken and Troy earned us a 1/4 barrel for consumption one night in the 2012 season. Also participating were: Phil Beaver / Dave Heinritz, Andy Wittig / Paul Roth, Dan Muenchow / Mike Woods, and Brian Long / Joe Sargent. Say thanks to all of these fellas for representing the BTWB's, and especially Ken and Troy for making us proud and earning some malt beverages for the crew! We'll consume the keg the banquet night next year.

Check out the Ryder Cup link (on the events tab) for the latest updates soon. Our captain, Brian Long, will build out the teams today, and he and Paul DeLange will set up the matches this week.

Here are the team pictures. We missed some fellas who were not able to make it to the evening: Matt Spang, Mike Geer, Bruce Rayden, George Monese, and Ken Barr.
